So medication is definitely no longer needed and it only hinders the delivery.

Midwives are not doctors: that is another criticism. It does not actually mean that they don’t know what to do medically, while that is true. All midwives absolutely need to go through a hard and legal licensing and certification process. This process teaches them what medical procedures may need to be performed in certain situations. Having a baby with a midwife, as you can see, has more benefits than people would have you to believe. It is safer and helps you have a faster delivery then with medications.
