If a boy baby is desired abstain from sex until the day before ovulation, and abstain again the second day after ovulation. Also when trying to conceive a boy sexual positions that allow deep penetration are best (“doggie style” or missionary position with the woman’s legs extended up towards her head.) Why is this? Because of the differences in the two sperm. This timing, and deep penetration allows the fast swimming boy sperm to win the race to the fresh waiting egg, resulting in the boy baby you want.

If you want a baby girl, you should only allow shallow penetration when having sex to conceive. Abstain from sex for a couple of days before ovulation until a couple of days after. Again, this will ensure the weaker boy sperm cannot survive the time and distance needed to successfully fertilize the egg, resulting in the girl baby you desire.

Shettles also realized that the mother-to-be’s bodily ph also plays a role in baby gender prediction. A lower ph (higher acidity) favors the girl sperm, while a higher ph (more on the alkaline side) favors the boy sperm.

But these two tests are not without risk to the fetus and are used in connection with detecting any genetic disorders based on family history or the age of the mother-to-be. With the availability of a reasonably accurate baby gender predictor such as ultrasound, new parents-to-be can elect to learn their baby’s gender before it is born. The Chinese Lunar Calendar For Baby Gender Prediction

The Chinese Lunar Calendar was discovered about 700 years ago, by a Chinese Scientist after years of research. Many in the far east put a lot of faith in it’s results, while the Western world tends to be skeptical. Regardless of whether you “believe” or not the calendar can be a lot of fun.

First you need to understand how to use it properly, if you don’t know much about the Chinese Lunar Calendar and the differences compared to the Gregorian Calendar used in the west.

First you need to know the month of conception, remember conception not birth. Some have mistakenly used the actual birth date and of course this won’t give you an accurate result, so be sure you use the month of conception!

The confusing part for most people is figuring the mothers age at conception, this is her age on the Chinese calendar not the Gregorian Calendar used in the west.

Because of the differences in these calendars, the mother should add nine months to her age at conception to begin with, and if she conceives after the Chinese New Year (it’s a different date between January 22 and February 22 every year) she should add another year. Think of the year as starting on the Chinese New Year instead of January 1st.

You then simply find the month of conception and the age of the mother using the parameters above, follow the two columns till they intersect and if the square is blue it’s a boy baby and if it’s pink it’s a girl baby.

You, of course, can find out (by way of an ultra-sound) if you will have a boy or girl in your seventh or eighth month, but if nothing else the Chinese Lunar Calendar is fun to try and you can use it on your other children or anyones children for that matter.
