There is a chance of getting pregnant during period. Pregnancy happens when a female releases a fertile egg from her ovaries which then merges with a male sperm during sexual intercourse. Fertilization takes place and a fetus begins to form in the womb.
Ovulation must be taking place in the woman for her to get pregnant. Ovulation means that she is fertile at that particular time. The monthly cycle is what determines the ovulation time. Menstruation is shedding off the uterine walls when fertilization has not taken place. This is done to prepare the uterus for subsequent ovulation. This is released as blood through the vagina.
Women with a cycle of 28 days ovulate around the fourteenth day from the 1st day of the period. A menstrual cycle is calculated from the day the period beings to a day before the following period begins.
Ovulation time can sometimes vary. It can at times occur earlier like on the tenth day up to the 19th day after the period begins. There are women with a menstrual cycle of three weeks while others have a 35 days cycle or longer. It can be difficult to calculate the accurate monthly cycle of such women.
There is a possibility of conceiving during periods. The days before ovulation are counted using a monthly cycle of 28 days. It is assumed that ovulation will occur after a fortnight. However, this happens in less than 70% of the women. Even those with such regular cycles still experience changes occasionally.
Women having a cycle of 21 or 35 days may ovulate earlier or later than they expect. Therefore, no method is 100% in calculating the actual date of ovulation. A woman may therefore assume she is on her safe days while she isn’t.
On top of that, women are fertile for a period of about seven days every month. It is possible for sperms to live for about one week in the cervix while ovum can live for 24 hours or more. It means that she can become pregnant because the sperms can still be alive when the egg is released.
Monthly periods last for about three to seven days. There are women who bleed for longer periods and this could reduce their safe days. If such a woman has sexual intercourse when she is menstruating, she might become pregnant.
Any woman who has unprotected intercourse may have chance of getting pregnant during period. Being one hundred per cent sure of her safe days is not possible. This is due to periodic variation of her safe days.

Many, many women in the US decide every year that they are finished having children or do not want children in the first place. Most often they will decide to have their tubes tied through a tubal ligation surgery. However, within five years about six percent of those women who have undergone the surgery will decide they do want a child after all for whatever reason, but most often due to a partner change. These women then look at having a tubal ligation reversal done so they will have that child or children they now want.
However some women will opt to have tubal ligation reversal surgery not because they want children but rather to help stop the effects they experience and which are commonly referred to as “post tubal ligation syndrome”. A woman who suffers from this particular syndrome will suffer from a number of different health problems.
For some women they find that they start to suffer from the symptoms associated with the menopause much earlier than expected. Also for quite a few, they find that their libido and sex drive is almost non existent and they find that the symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome become what worse. There are even cases where the woman will suffer from hot or cold flashes along with trouble sleeping and their moods can be somewhat erratic.
Unfortunately there are certain factors which would need to be taken into consideration and which will determine whether tubal ligation reversal will be successful for a woman or not. First, the surgeon will need to know what kind of tubal ligation procedure was originally performed on the woman in order to determine if the reversal procedure is actually going to be successful or not.
Another factor that must be taken into consideration, and most women know this, is the woman’s age when thinking about a tubal reversal. Any woman over the age of 40 should really have a good discussion with her surgeon just to see what he thinks her chances of success are. Any damage that happened to the fallopian tubes during the original procedure or in the time since it took place will have some effect upon success.
The women who are likely to find that the reversal procedure will be a success for them are those who have either had a small section of their fallopian tubes removed. Also are those women who had chosen to have their tubes tied using clips or rings.
You can realize from what we have written so far that your potential doctor for the tubal ligation reversal will need to review your medical record for the original procedure. Armed with this information, it is time for your doctor to discuss the probabilities of success in your case and how you should proceed.
While having this consultation with your surgeon he will discuss the good and bad points for going through with your tubal ligation reversal. Unfortunately, it is possible that due to your age or damage done to your tubes, that a tubal reversal just might not be the best thing for you to achieve your ends.

Fertility can be quite a sensitive issue for women and couples who are struggling to conceive. Today, couples that battle with fertility are fortunate to have many medical options available to them. The type of fertility treatment that you choose will largely depend on your individual situation and the recommendations that your doctor makes. Nevertheless, it does no harm to be informed and aware of the different fertility options available.
Use of Fertility Drugs
This is usually the first choice of doctors when considering fertility treatments as this form of treatment is generally the least stressful and can be, depending on what drugs are used, the least expensive of the options. The fertility drugs regulate a woman’s reproductive hormones and trigger the release of one or more eggs during the ovulation cycle. The treatment can be administered in the form of monthly injections or tablets that are taken daily. Most women try fertility drugs as an initial treatment for several months before considering other options. Fertility drugs are often also used in combination with other treatments. Fertility drugs have been recorded as having between a 20 to 60 percent rate of success and this tends to increase when combined with other treatments.
Surgery to Aid Fertility
Sometimes there are physical defects that hinder fertility and a woman’s ability to get pregnant. These may include things such as ovarian cysts, blocked fallopian tubes or other genetic defects. Surgery to repair defects or remove cysts or blockages can significantly improve the chances of a woman getting pregnant. Surgery for blocked fallopian tube has been known to aid fertility and has a success rate as high as 90 percent of women being able to conceive following surgery.
Artificial Insemination
Artificial insemination is a technique whereby a concentrated dose of sperm is injected into the uterus using a catheter. The procedure can be somewhat uncomfortable and the woman may feel some cramping in the abdomen in the days following the treatment. The procedure is one of the less expensive fertility treatments and the procedure can be done in a doctor’s office. Artificial insemination is frequently done in conjunction with fertility drugs. The success rate is recorded at being between five and 25 percent.
In Vitro Fertilization
In Vitro Fertilization has become a well known fertility treatment and is often referred to as IVF. The procedure involves harvesting eggs as well as sperm from the prospective parents. The fertilization process takes place in a laboratory and once embryos are formed, they are placed in the woman’s uterus. The success rate is generally between 28 and 35 percent. To increase the chances of a successful conception, this treatment is often used in conjunction with fertility drugs. The procedure is time consuming and can be mildly uncomfortable for the woman. IVF is also relatively expensive costing 10 to 20 times more than artificial insemination. For this reason, it is generally used after other treatment options have first been tried.
Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer
Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer is more commonly known as GIFT. It is similar procedure to IVF in that eggs are harvested from the ovaries of the mother and sperm is collected from the father. The two are then mixed together in a laboratory. The difference with GIFT is that the mixture is then surgically injected into the woman’s fallopian tubes so the fertilization process occurs within the body naturally, rather than artificially within a laboratory. The cost of the treatment is similar to IVF treatments and the success rate is between 25 and 30 percent. Fertility drugs are often prescribed in combination with this treatment to increase the chances of conception.
Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer
Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer follows the same procedure as GIFT. The primary difference between the two is that the doctor administering the procedure first checks to ensure the eggs have been fertilized before placing them into the woman’s fallopian tubes. The cost is similar to that of GIFT and IVF as is the success rate.
Introcytoplasmic Sperm Injection
This treatment is more commonly referred to as ICSI treatment. It carries a success rate of approximately 35 percent but is one of the more expensive treatment options because of the high amount of detail involved. In the procedure, eggs are harvested from the prospective mother’s ovaries and sperm from the prospective father’s testicals with a microscopic needle or surgical biopsy. A single egg is then fertilized with a single sperm within a laboratory. Once the embryo is formed, it is then placed inside the mother’s uterus. The procedure involves a level of discomfort for both parents.
Surrogacies and Donors
Some women are unable to produce fertile eggs, and similarly their partners may not have fertile sperm. In these instances, couples may consider using donor eggs or sperm. The disadvantages are that the selection process is detailed and lengthy, and there is also the emotional aspect that there won’t be direct genetic ties between one or both of the parents and the child. In some cases, women are physically unable to carry to term. In this case, sometimes surrogate mothers become gestational carriers for the duration of the pregnancy. Most often, the fertilized embryos are placed within the surrogate mother who carries the baby to term. Following birth, the surrogate mother is required to sign away all legal rights to the child. This procedure too is complex, quite expensive and time consuming.
European Sperm Bank USA, located in Seattle, Washington, was established to provide couples and individuals with the donor choices they need to make dreams of conception, pregnancy and childbirth a reality. European Sperm Bank USA is affiliated with Denmark-based European Sperm Bank, and are leading the way for in Europe.
Finding your surgeon from among all those tubal reversal doctors will at times seem like such a chore. After all, there is much you do need to know about to make the best decision for you. The following paragraphs will help you with this effort.
Although there are many facts you will want to learn about each doctor you are reviewing, perhaps the most important can boil down to 1) does he listen to you and respond to you, and 2) what do other women have to say about him. You will find that having a caring doctor goes a long way to making your experience better.
But to begin at the beginning, you will want to know about his education and training. What schools did he attend? Where did he do his residency? Who trained him to be a tubal reversal specialist? Does he specialize in tubal reversals?
So after making sure he was well trained and trained well by others at the top of their games, you will want to know how experienced he is. Just how often does he actually perform this operation? Is it something he does just about every week or are you looking at a one hit wonder? By the last, I mean does he average only something like one surgery a year.
Who does your doctor associate with? Now, I’m not asking about his friends outside of work. What we need to know is how good are his staff, the anesthesiologist, and the surgical team? Are they the same people he works with every week and who, therefore, know what is going on? Or, in the case of the one hit wonder, does he get just whoever is working the day your surgery is scheduled whom he may have never worked with before?
Now let’s get back to that important point of whether or not he listens and responds to you. When you call his office to ask a question, do you get an answer back from the doctor or his staff? Do you feel like he is really paying attention to patients? Are you lucky enough to have found a surgeon who provides you with a ready method of contacting him outside of making phone calls like a website or message board?
What about contacting the other women who have been this doctor’s patients? Can you by some means like a message board? Does he even have enough patients to have a tubal reversal message board? What do they think of this doctor and his staff? Where are the testimonials from other patients?
Who knows which of the tubal reversal doctors will be the best for you but at least now you have something to get you started. In my opinion, having a doctor who listens to and responds to you will be for the best as long as his training, education and experience back it up. That’s where the recommendations from previous patients will help.

When you decide that you want to start trying to have a baby, you need to think about more than the maintaining a proper diet throughout the pregnancy. You also need to get the body ready before it happens. A healthy environment is necessary for your future child to grow in, and many women are looking at different ways to prepare themselves beforehand. Kangen Water is one of the best methods that women are choosing, before and during pregnancy.
Kangen Water is alkaline water; a pure and healthy water is that is good for you while tasting delicious. A water system is used to filter out any harmful chemicals that can come from your tap water through a process of ionization. After the filtering is done, what you are left with is alkaline water, which is essential to balance the pH levels in the body for a healthier you.
Taking care of yourself before you conceive is important, and that means inside and out. Getting yourself in the best shape possible and allowing yourself to build up a good alkaline reserve for your pregnancy is essential. Drinking alkaline water is a good way to help prepare your body, as you will use a lot of vital minerals at the start of your pregnancy, and if the body is not prepared, you will feel the effects of that.
The placenta will use the alkaline reserves that are in your body after you fall pregnant. If you have a sufficient reserve, the placenta won’t have to look elsewhere in the body for those vital minerals, like the teeth or the bones. It will continue to use these reserves to neutralize the acidic discharges that will come from the baby over the next nine months.
The importance of water during pregnancy is far-reaching and the alkaline minerals during this time are essential. Women who don’t have enough of those minerals in their body are most likely to experience severe morning sickness. Another issue that can arise is that without the right amount of alkaline minerals present in the body to neutralize those acidic discharges, the risk of jaundice in the baby at birth rises.
During the pregnancy, your baby will get all the minerals it needs before its mother for its cellular development since the embryonic fluid must be at an optimum level. That fluid needs to stay as clean as possible, and be as alkaline as possible for the baby’s development and health. Alkaline water provides the right nutrients and minerals to ensure the health of both baby and mother are protected.
Pregnancy creates a very high demand for water. Each of the new cells that are formed in a fetus must be filled with water, and the only place to get this supply is from the mother. Kangen Water is the only way to ensure you have the best alkaline water as a foundation for you and your baby’s future.

The severity of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is affected by the food you eat. If morning sickness develops, don’t just follow your cravings. Add foods that can lessen nausea and vomiting on your daily menu. Eat more on foods that are rich in carbohydrates. They can restore the natural rhythm of the intestine and reduce the severity of nausea and vomiting. Avoid spicy and greasy foods when pregnant since they can increase the severity of nausea and vomiting.
Morning sickness occurs when gastric acidity increase. Gastric acid is naturally neutralized by the food we eat. During pregnancy, eat six small meals instead of three large meals. Eating frequently helps keep the stomach from getting too empty and effectively neutralize the strong gastric acids that cause nausea and vomiting.
Sensitivity to odors is one of the many symptoms of pregnancy that develops along with morning sickness and often times it ends up with nausea and vomiting. One of the many odors that easily trigger nausea is cooked food. Avoid cooking during pregnancy and eat foods only when it’s cold to lessen its aroma. Apply your favorite non-nauseating scent on your hanky for a quick sniff to get rid of any unpleasant odors.
Reduce nausea by getting enough rest daily. One of the things that can make nausea and vomiting worst is tiredness. Have enough slip daily. Six to eight hours of sleep at night and an hour or two nap during the day it the recommended length of rest for pregnant women.
One of the things your doctor will probably tell you is to have a daily exercise routine. Exercising can help you in two ways. It can tone down your muscles in preparation for the additional weight you will have to bear on the later stage of pregnancy. “How can I regain my great looking body back?” Of course, this is the question most women have just after delivering their baby. They probably ask their friends, doctors and body building trainers. The truth is that many do not regain that body while some may actually get a better looking body.
After my second son was born my body was hotter than ever. I had more defined curves in all of the right places. With a little toning here and there, I was able to mold my body beyond my own expectations by the time my baby was 4 and half months old.
What did I do? First off, I changed how I perceived myself. I felt sexy therefore I exuded sexiness. That goes for you too. If you feel sexy you will emit an energy that is pact full of confidence. I walk and move with confidence I didn’t have pre-baby days.
As a first step, I developed a mindset that defined me as a very sexy lady. Of course, since this was now my mindset, it metamorphosed into my attitude. I suddenly found myself really feeling and ‘being’ sexy. Talking sexy, feeling sexy, walking sexy and being sexy became a part of me. Strangely enough, this was a feeling I really don’t recall having before.
I was tempted to feel bad about the weight I had gained while expecting my baby, but I put that out of my mind and focused instead on using the weight to my advantage. I did this by first refusing to feel bad about the weight and then noting the places where it looked good. Leaving those places, I got rid of those parts where it did not look good.
Next I figured it would be a great idea to generate a plan that would involve my baby so that I would: A. Have motivation and B. Not become overwhelmed with caring for an infant while trying to sculpt my body. I found it to be extra easy because I was able to involve my 3 year old as well and he just loves the physical activity.
Any time you can make it not seem like a work out you will get more done. Plus my newborn just giggles whenever I do this routine. So the following is what I did and still do to make sure that my outer appearance is matching my inner feeling.
First, here is a bonus: Drink plenty of water. I know you hear it all of the time but it is true. You want o maintain a balanced pH level. Did you know most adult do not carry a balanced pH. So drink alkaline water, ok. I wake up and drink a cup of water every morning.
I continue this throughout the day. New mothers need plenty of water in order to stay hydrated and mentally oriented. Also eat plenty of alfalfa sprouts. I eat it daily and it does wonders for my skin. It also helps me trim my waistline. This is the best thing you can do for your baby as well if they are breast feeding. Now on to YOUR routine, feel free to adjust it to fit you. Here is what I do.
Stretching
Okay, let’s begin
Arms
Concentrating on the arms. Lay down on your back with your knees up in the air and together with your feet flat on the floor. Grab your baby (not required but recommended) and place them on your lower stomach. Lift them all the way up and bring them back down gently, kissing them each time you lower them. My son giggles every time I do this so it’s easy to do 15 of these. You may start off with less if you need to. Next, do the baby lift again except this time lift and lower your baby half way. Feel the burn.
Abdomen
Place baby on lower abdomen and do a crunch by lifting your upper body. Every time you come up say “BOO” to your baby. Repeat at least 15 times. Next, you will be working your lower abdomen by placing your baby on your upper chest and lifting and rolling your legs and knees to meet the back of your baby’s head. Do this at least 10 times.
Afterwards, place baby on lower abdomen and lift baby in the air. Next pull your knees to you and alternate baby side to side while moving knees to opposite side. This is targeting those love handles. Do this 10 times.
You can stay in the same position as in the previous exercise. Do a crunch by taking the upper part of your body off the floor and make a face or kiss to the baby. Fifteen of these will do. Now, move the baby to your upper chest region and then bring up your legs and knees to touch the back of the baby’s head. The next one involves putting the baby back on your lower abdomen and then lifting the baby up, pull your knees to the opposite side of the baby. Alternate this with either side about ten times.
Legs
Back
Lay flat on stomach on the floor and lift upper body pushing shoulder blades in together. Repeat 10 times. Do these things daily gradually increasing and you will witness your body change. None of this will mean a thing if you aren’t consistent. So be Consistent.
Exercising Your Back While lying on your stomach flat on the floor, you have to raise the upper parts of your body and draw your shoulder blades together. Execute this move ten times.
Now time for a RECAP Find your inner sexy Drink water Exercise with your baby Adopt a better diet. Find a Place for Support Breastfeed (Not required, but will help) Be Consistent
In summary: Develop sexiness from the inside Drink plenty of water Involve your baby Adjust your diet Don’t stop the routine midway
90% of women need better support for their health regime. Receiving emotional support, and diet plans are important. Don’t be one of the ones who doesn’t get the support needed. is a good place to receive that needed help.

It is possible to determine the degree of morning sickness even before the actual symptoms develop. Certain conditions predispose women to severe nausea for pregancy. Conditions like carrying a twin may result to severe morning sickness. Health experts think that it’s caused by HCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) that’s twice as high as the normal pregnancy.
Normally, morning sickness begins and ends during the first trimester of pregnancy. However, it’s also possible to experience morning sickness past the first three months of pregnancy. Such condition can be caused by abnormal fluctuation of hormone levels. When episodes of nausea occurs past the first trimester, inform you doctor right away. Some special management may be necessary to cope with it.
During the peak of morning sickness, expect to have several episodes of morning sickness daily. Having 2-3 episodes in one day is completely normal. However, if nausea and vomiting gets severe that it’s impossible to keep food or water down, seek medical help right away. Uncontrolled vomiting can lead to dehydration.
Experiencing vomiting once in a while shouldn’t be a problem as long as water is taken regularly. Water is the best liquid to drink to prevent dehydration. Keep your body well hydrated daily by drinking water at a regular interval. As a rule of thumb, drink water not less than 10 pints daily to make sure that the body is well hydrated.
